Alderford
The church: St John the Baptist
- This tiny church was built in the early fourteenth-century, and is grade I listed.
- It has one bell, used to announce services, and boasts a fifteenth century Sacramental Font. (The seven sacraments are Baptism, The Eucharist, Confirmation, Penance, Marriage, Ordination and Extreme Unction.)
- Alderford & Attlebridge have been united as one parish since 1688.
- While Attlebridge church is out of use, pending repairs to the roof, all relevant services take place at Alderford.
